Mask Fit Testing - Half Face Respirator (Qualitative)

IMPORTANT: Participants must bring their current 5000/6000/7000 Series Half Face Respirator and filters to the session. A mask is not included with this Fit Testing. 

• Participants must be clean shaven 
• Participants must not smoke, vape, eat, or drink anything other than water up to 1 hour before their session 

Half Face Respirator Mask Fit Testing is required for employees wearing tight-fitting half face masks for protection against solids and liquid aerosols, as well as oil-based particulates. Intended for those working in engineering, professional removal of mold, lead-based paints, woodworking, assembly, chemical cleanup, chiseling, cleaning, furnace operations, grinding, laboratories, machining, masonry, painting, sanding, sawing, chemical handling and those working with fiberglass insulation to help reduce nuisance odors and chemical splash. 

This session will also cover:

• Respirator limitations
• Sensitivity test and fit test
• Donning and user seal checks
• Storage and maintenance instructions
• Cartridge dating, Filter change frequency and limitations

Please bring any previously issued Mask Fit Testing certificates obtained in the past.

Certification:

Upon completion of the Half-Face Respirator Testing, participants will receive a wallet-sized certificate, valid for 1 year.
