What is Blended Learning?
Blended First Aid courses include both an online learning component and a classroom component.
The Blended course is an interactive online course that will build on your first aid theory and prepare you for practical training. You will read about specific first aid skills and watch videos demonstrating how these skills are performed. Once you complete the online component, you will be ready to move on to the classroom component. Your instructor will demonstrate how to apply the skills you have learned in real life situations and you will get the opportunity to practice these skills.
You must successfully complete both the online and the classroom components in order to receive your certificate. Please note that the online course should be completed before attending your in-class training. Our standard rescheduling and cancellation policies apply to Blended courses.

Common issues we have seen include messages such as "Error ID", "Unauthorized Access" and "Account Not Found". If you are experiencing such an issue, Red Cross advises that you try the following:
1. Use a private or incognito window to log in
2. Use a different browser to login
If this does not work for you, please call or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 604-354-6199 for a new registration link to be emailed to you. Please then open your email in an incognito window (this is extremely important or it may not work). Then sign into your Red Cross account using the new link (in the incognito window) and go to "My Profile -> My Online Courses" to activate your course.
If you get to this stage and none of the above works, you will have to contact Red Cross to reset your account. Please send a screenshot of your account issue to email@example.com and note that the steps above did not work.
You can also call Red Cross directly at 1-877-356-3226. Their business hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
