These courses involve an online course + classroom training. You must complete the online course before attending your classroom training.
When you register for the training above, you are selecting the date, time and location for your classroom training. Please make sure you are providing yourself enough time to complete the online course beforehand as our standard rescheduling policy applies in the case that you need to postpone due to online course incompletion.

This course covers the following topics:

- Responding to Emergencies
- Check, Call, Care
- Recovery Position
- Choking (Adult, Child & Baby)
- Assisting with Medications
- Angina and Heart Attack
- Stroke
- CPR & AED (Adult, Child & Baby)
- Deadly Bleeding
Prerequisite: None
This course provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies. It also includes how to perform rescue breathing. It includes using an automated external defibrillator (AED), also known as the 'shock machine'. Life Preservers runs this class everyday!
Courses are suitable for those looking for training for the workplace or for their own general interest.
Requirements for completion:
- Skills demonstration
- 100% attendance
- Grade of 75% on written test
Upon completing the course successfully, participants will receive:
- 3 Year Canadian Red Cross Certification in CPR/AED Level C
