Canadian Red Cross - Basic Life Support (BLS) Recertification
Prerequisite: Basic Life Support, CPR/AED Level HCP
*Previous certificate must be valid. Expired certifications are not eligible for renewal.
Red Cross & Lifesaving Society Basic Life Support (HCP) Recertification Courses are available from Life Preservers First Aid Training at our various training centres across the Lower Mainland. We serve Burnaby, Coquitlam, Richmond, Surrey, Delta, North Vancouver, East Vancouver, West Vancouver and North Vancouver.
Students taking this class will review the materials covered in the Basic Life Support (HCP) course. The recertification course will cover the same topics as the full Basic Life Support (HCP) course with a focus on recent changes and standards set by the Red Cross or the Lifesaving Society.
Students will be provided with the skills needed to recognize and respond to emergencies for adults, children and infants for one and two rescuers. Topics such as choking, airway and breathing emergencies as well as AED training will be covered.
Participants must bring their previous Basic Life Support Card to class.
